Pressed on a special premium color blend of waxes, no two limited copies of our debut album "If We Have a Future" are the same. Inside is an insert with exclusive photos, lyrics, album credits, and other info.

Written and recorded between 2021 and 2023, this is the debut album from LA rock staples Lone Kodiak. Produced by Kyle Mangels, recorded at Big Bad Sound and Sleep as Time Travel in Los Angeles, "If We Have a Future" features contributions from Hunter Leigh Allen of Chase Petra (vocals), Emily Tooraen of Tchotchke (vocals), Chloe Fuller (vocals), Vanessa Eagerton (vocals), Chris Cribb (piano), and Kevin the dog (vocals).

The recording is modeled after the band's live performance which the vinyl format features prominently with very few breaks and one song often blending into the next.

The artwork features a scene shot my Sean Martin from singer/guitarist Dainéal Parker's wedding in the Scottish Highlands which the band attended. In fact, bassist Daniel Alden was the best man and drummer Josh Harris was the handfasting rope bearer.

Pedal to the metal and away we go Last minute trip to Mexico Found me a town I don't ever plan to leave With this senorita lying next to me Let's hear it for the kid They're doing it Asleep on the beach, they caught up with me Assholes wouldn't let me finish my drink The sentence was long and the punishment harsh Got a jailhouse tat of her name on my arm Let's hear it for the kid They're doing it

Hold it up under the glow Show me what the future holds I see it too! Yeah, I see it, too Night drive on the scenic road Wrap it 'round a telephone pole I need you to, yeah, I need you to It's not fair! And I know when I'm not needed It's not right! But that's how it goes It's not theirs! So at least we won't be stealing It's not mine! So I let it go Paint it red to let them know Peril lies behind this door They'll believe it, too I might die but I'm not scared They can never take what is not theirs I'll bleed the proof It's not fair! And I know when I'm not needed It's not right! But that's how it goes It's not theirs! So at least we won't be stealing It's not mine! So I let it go Cheer me up, been feeling low Force a smile with a very bad joke I needed you, oh, I needed you Take a shower and change my clothes Dinner with a friend who may not know They rescued me from myself It's not fair! And I know when I'm not needed It's not right! But that's how it goes It's not theirs! So at least we won't be stealing It's not mine! So I let it go

The Bridge 05:12
First time, I just justified my disappointment With a pair of arguments – one made the other stick Next time I'll make a fist – come give your lover a kiss Let's see you talk that shit with a pair of bloody lips You're like water under the bridge I jumped off of Don't let the light go out again Don't let the praise go to your head Don't let my mood ruin all the fun Sometimes I'm quiet ... it's nothing personal Ghost came took me again to where I started this To show me something I missed Most nights I can resist that northern river nymph Tonight I'm powerless You're like water under the bridge I jumped off of Don't let the light go out again Don't let the praise go to your head Don't let my mood ruin all the fun Sometimes I'm quiet ... it's nothing personal

The radio plays the radio The TV shows notes what you should own It's hard to make friends as you get old The obvious states the obvious It's hard to say when I lost my hope It's not like I chose to let it go It's hard to make plans when I don't know If we have a future The followers join the follower The animals cage the animal You shouldn't mix pills with alcohol The obvious states the obvious It's hard to say when I lost my hope It's not like I chose to let it go It's hard to make plans when I don't know If we have a future And vanity writes itself an ode Jealousy digs a jealous hole True love is never unconditional The obvious states the obvious It's hard to say when I lost my hope It's not like I chose to let it go It's hard to make plans when I don't know If we have a future

It's not like you'll recognize me It's not like you'll kiss my cheek It's not like you'll give a cold shoulder But it's not like you gonna sing So I'll find the dog in the corner "Say, aren't you a precious thing?" Then I'll make my way out the back door Without saying goodbye to my friends Might find a place for a hot meal If I can find somewhere to sleep Relying on kindness from strangers Has never been easy for me Choosing between shame and hunger While I wash my clothes in the sink I hear the voice of my father Say "What would your mother think?" What would your mother think?

Married myself to the sound, never slowed down Never had a doubt Carried myself like a star, seven feet tall Turn everything to gold Threw myself into the sound, committed to the loud The rock the fuck out I bled and broke strings and broke hearts, reveled in the dark A creature of the art Saw you make a run for the corner booth Now I'm singing my songs to an empty room Thought you'd wanna hear what I wrote for you But I'm singing my songs to an empty room Buried myself in the songs, never built a life Couldn't keep a job My melodies helped me with the hurt, brush off all the dirt Get up and carry on So why would I bother showing up for work? A paycheck and a shirt? "How may I help you, sir? No. You can't fire me, I quit! The system is rigged to keep the rich rich." Saw you make a run for the corner booth Now I'm singing my songs to an empty room Thought you'd wanna hear what I wrote for you But I'm singing my songs to an empty room Wrote it all down from the heart Little bit of anger, lotta fucking love Never had a clue where to start Just put the thing to paper, let it fall apart Pipe dreams, fantasies all, don't tell me about the odds This thing is catching on or I'll sleep out on the streets with my guitar Money in a jar playing music for the lost Saw you make a run for the corner booth Now I'm singing my songs to an empty room Thought you'd wanna hear what I wrote for you But I'm singing my songs to an empty room

XOXO 03:50
People, get in line, make it tight Let's get organized Clear your mind, close your eyes Now visualize amber line burning from inside Feel it climb up your spine Don't fight it Patience for a time, put your pain aside Universal cry: shouldn't wanna die Take a picture of the sky Keep this memory alive Put his portrait in the fire Let the healing come tonight Let the healing come It's not complicated I like the way you wrote I like the little x and o It's funny how you know Somebody by their x and o Maybe you were right Maybe we should fight our penchant to decline RSVPs Should I expect your invite? I'll bring some flowers and some wine We can talk about old times Let the healing come tonight Let's not complicate it I like the way you wrote I like the little x and o It's funny how you know Somebody by their x and o

Canary 06:07
Yellow bird dropped in the earth Tell me – is it safe to breathe? Piper plays his song for us We lemmings led into the sea Fable read to help me sleep Put my fragile mind at ease Pacify the striped beast Place the child inside its teeth Skin so vibrant in this light Braided hair and purple eyes Built a nest of bones and wire Safe now from the world outside And I tried to find my way back home The river led me further down And I meant to tell you how I felt But the window closed when I was out

Talking at myself into the mirror Oh, God I want to die I made it this far, I made it this far Talking myself into going out Oh, God I want to die I'll see you at the show Kinda shit we say to ourselves Fucking critic is way too loud I'd love to be a fan, but still ... I wanna kill myself Talking at myself like I'm a child Oh, God you're just a boy Don't ever grow up; you'll never grow up Talking to my drink like I'm a lush Oh, God it's last call We're never going home! Kinda shit we say to ourselves Fucking critic is way too loud I'd love to be a fan, but still ... I wanna kill myself

She was a mean girl looking for some trouble So the wild inside had somewhere to go Because her teeth get sharp when the moon gets full Her claws come out and she's coming for you Werewolf girl I don't think I ever had a chance with you Werewolf girl I don't think I'll ever understand She got a killer bad side and the keys to my heart Got a mood swing coming and she'll tear me apart It's a blue moon month, so I gotta think twice Silver dollar in my pocket, it should keep me alive Werewolf girl I don't think I ever had a chance with you Werewolf girl I don't think I'll ever understand And she's always taking my sweaters And bringing 'em back in shreds She never knows whose blood is on these clothes My lycanthrope just doing what she does My werewolf girl in love Werewolf girl I don't think I ever had a chance with you Werewolf girl I don't think I'll ever understand Werewolf girl I don't think we make sense I don't think they'll understand I don't think we have a chance Werewolf girl!
